It’s Week 4, so we kind of have a general vision of what most teams are. There are some really interesting match-ups this week, so that means some real interesting picks.

JETS(-1.5) vs. DOLPHINS
I’m going to take the Jets on this game. Game is being played on a neutral field in London. I don’t have any faith in either team’s quarterback, but I think the Jets defense will impact the game more then anything else.

JAGUARS at COLTS(-7.5)
So there WAS a lot of hype for the Colts coming into this season, and they haven’t performed up to that hype. They’re not good, putting it simply, Andrew Luck is not very impressive, and their defense stinks. Still… it is the Jaguars. Recent news puts the Colts’ Luck as questionable for the game. All that considered I think I’m going to take the least pathetic of the two.
Pick: COLTS

TEXANS at FALCONS(-6)
Disclaimer… I’m a Falcons fan and I want to see them win as many games as they can. Fan or not, it’s undeniable that the combination of Matt Ryan and Julio Jones is unstoppable. Texans can keep up with the birds.

PANTHERS(-3) at BUCCANEERS
Going into every week, I never really know what Panthers team is going to show up. They have a really good defense despite the absence of arguably their best defensive player, and their defense CAN score. Cam has the ability to put up numbers, but he’s inconsistent. Bucs have a rookie QB, so I think Panthers defense is the difference.
Pick: PANTHERS

RAIDERS(-3.5) at BEARS
Raiders are pretty good, well at least they look like it and the Bears are just… not good. Carr has developed real good chemistry with his receivers, Cooper and Crabtree. If Cutler plays, they definitely have a chance, but I don’t think he’s going to play.
Pick: RAIDERS

GIANTS at BILLS(-5.5)
Bills have a good defense and surprisingly good offense. Taylor is a pretty exciting QB and he has the weapons to do damage. I don’t think Watkins or Shady are playing though. I think Rex will out coach Coughlin, but I think Eli is gonna get up for this game.
Pick: GIANTS

EAGLES(-3) at REDSKINS
Neither team is any good. I think both teams need to upgrade at the QB position to do any real damage. That said, I think the Eagles are the better team and should win, but I actually like the Redskins rushing attack will prevail.

CHIEFS at BENGALS(-3.5)
I think this will be a very entertaining game to watch. I feel like Bengals always come out of the gate strong though, and wane after their BYE week. This is before the BYE though, and I think Alex Smith’s reluctance to throwing the deep ball will decide this game.

PACKERS(-7.5) at 49ers
Rodgers is the best QB in the league and he’s reminding everyone of that fact right now. On that note “What happened to Kaep?”

RAMS at CARDINALS(-7)
So I was pretty high on the Rams coming into this year. There defense is actually pretty good and they picked up Todd Gurley, so I thought their offensive woes would be an issue of the past. I was wrong. Cardinals, on the other hand, have no problem scoring, and their defense might be one of the best in the league.

BROWNS at CHARGERS(-7)
Chargers are the better team, but Rivers not having Gates as his “go-to”, really changes the dynamic of that team. Have you seen the Browns schedule? This might actually be their last chance to score a win this season. Sleeper pick right here…

VIKINGS at BRONCOS(-7)
The Broncos changed their offense to better suit their decaying fossil, so their offense seems to be clicking. The Vikings look better now that Peterson is getting back into real football shape as well. When two talented teams meet, it usually comes down to mistakes and game management…

COWBOYS at SAINTS(-3)
I don’t see Weeden scoring a win outside of Cowboys stadium, even if the Saints are not the Saints of old. I do think Brees will be back this week, and given the extra time to recover and reflect, I think he will come back better.

LIONS at SEAHAWKS(-9.5)
I really wanted the to go with the Lions on this one because the Seahawks are so heavily favored, but I don’t think that I can. The Lions really could be good, REALLY REALLY GOOD, if they just stopped making stupid mistakes. Teams just don’t score wins in Seattle against Seattle, odds are against the Lions this week.
